Welcome to a brand new chapter in our community’s story! We are absolutely thrilled and deeply honored to announce that our beloved venue is officially entering an exciting new era under a new name: Whiskins.
This name holds a truly special place in our hearts. It was chosen to pay tribute to Brian Whiskin, a foundational figure whose dedication, passion, and tireless efforts played a massive part in setting up the original Lingwood Social Club. Brian was the heartbeat of this venue in its early days, believing wholeheartedly in creating a warm, welcoming space where neighbors, friends, and families could gather, celebrate, and make lasting memories. Renaming the venue Whiskins is our way of keeping his legacy alive, honoring his incredible contribution, and ensuring that the spirit of community he built continues to thrive.
Along with our fresh new identity, we are equally excited to share some fantastic news regarding our operations. To give you even more opportunities to unwind, catch up with friends, or enjoy a quiet drink, we are officially launching our new extended opening hours!
Starting immediately, you can drop by and see us during the following schedule:
Tuesday & Wednesday: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Thursday: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Friday: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM (unless we have a special event)
Saturday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (unless we have a special event)
Sunday: 12:00 PM (Noon) – 7:30 PM
Whether you are stopping by for a mid-week drink, starting your weekend early on a Friday afternoon, or relaxing with family on a Sunday evening, our doors are open wider than ever before. We warmly invite everyone—longtime regulars and new faces alike—to come on down, raise a glass to Brian’s memory, and enjoy everything our welcoming venue has to offer you. See you soon!
